Research interests
We are interested in a range of topics related to learning and cognitive control, in healthy humans and also in psychopathology. Currently we are working on:
Improving the experimental methods and stats for investigating habits and goal-directed actions.
Measuring the balance between habit and goal-directed systems during the course of learning, with no need of a ‘test of habits’.
The interaction between emotion, learning, and decision making.
Neural signals related with habits and goal-directed actions.
Habits and transdiagnostic symptomatology.
Open Science
We are advocates of Open and Slow Science. We share our materials, data and code openly on the Open Science Framework (OSF). We pre-registered all our empirical studies (experiments and meta-analyses). And we focus on quality over quantity. One important aim is ‘not adding more noise to the field’.
